emelle’s catering ltd. opened its doors to greet our first guests in may of 1999. with a new, cool, contemporary and polished look, we quickly became the neighborhood’s favorite place to stop for breakfast and lunch. our first guests, now turned regulars, have become dependent on emelle’s to set the precedent for remarkable service and delicious cuisine when it comes to vancouver catering companies.
whether it be classic diner faire and traditional breakfasts, or cutting-edge dishes like seared rare sockeye salmon with wasabi maple, our mandate is to use the freshest ingredients possible and create talked-about delectable dishes. speaking about our house-made soups, one of our regular customers is quoted as saying “they really kick butt”. it is into every emelle’s signature dish that president and executive chef mary lee newnham or “ml” puts that extra bit of love.
truly, ml’s great passion is catering. with her background rooted there and our location’s terrific existing facilities, it was easy to blend the two business components. since 1999 our vancouver catering companies has grown from simple boat cruises and drop offs to a fleet of delivery vans and a major special-event division for conventions and incentive programs. from this great combination of caterer meets urban diner, we are able to enjoy the best of all worlds, visiting with regulars, designing menus for groups large or small and constantly reinventing the wheel (of brie).
